Sculpture

In May 2007, I began to work weekly in a group doing sculpture in life sessions with a shared model, relying on years of drawing the figure to translate to three dimensions. After creating numerous figures in plastiline I chose the best and finished them, creating the final detail in hands, feet, and head. An expert moldmaker who lives nearby went to work making rubber molds and plaster casts, and finally waxes. With a foundry doing the final casting in bronze, I should soon have small editions of four 12-15 inch figures!
